 Hungry.....
« Thread Started on Oct 2, 2006, 5:32pm »

It was a fine fall day. The trees, with their changes in leaves, were swaying in the breeze. Young anthro children: Badgers, bears, tigers, wolves, lions, the entire mammal class, were playing. Indeed, Attila wanted to play, but she, alas, did not have any friends to play with.

She could go back to her mother and ask to play with her. But no. Just, no. Attila was going to find food, and for that, she would turn to the local four-legger deer.

There were so many four-legger deer in the park where the dominant anthros lived, they didn't need to go after anthro deer. Thank G-d for that.

Looking around, she tried to find some four-leggers to eat. In spite of what the humans thought, anthros, for the most part, weren't constantly hungry beasts that attacked their own kind. Hell, no. They went after four-leggers. Despite being able to talk four-legger, it was the four legged animals that anthro predators craved.

A cool wind blew softly, ruffling her scarlet fur and shaking dried leaves from the trees. The lovely vixen perched on a tree stump, legs drawn up, chin settled on knees. She wrapped her arms tighter around her legs and closed her almond eyes. Every sound was caught by her pricked ears, twin peaks of russet hue. White-tipped tail, like the extravegant plumed feathers, curled by her side. She tilted her head back, letting the late sun shed it's warmth on her face.

Footsteps. To loud to be an experienced predator, or prey for that matter. Gwenith opened one eye, sighing when she noticed the youngling nearby. If the tigeress was hunting, she wasn't doing a very good job at it. Gwen unfolded her legs, placing both feet on the ground. Claws dug into the soft bark of the stump she sat upon.

"Hey you, young tigeress." she called. "What do you think you're doing?"

Usually she wasn't as bold, but the vix was exausted from a late night hunting. This tiger had come and done nothing but shatter her quiet peace. Tail flicked with annoyance as she waited 'pon an answering call. Mind mused just getting up and leaving. Maybe even heading out of the city for the night, just to get some rest. No she thought warily. Two days ago she had spotted a slayer in the forest. He was probably still searching that area. Even if he was to stupid to notice her and she slipped away safely. Gwenith still was cautious and she sure wouldn't want to be caught napping there.

The birds chirped along. The fall air was crisp, fresh, refreshing. It was all a glorious day. That was when Attila heard

“Hey you, young tigress. What do you think you’re doing?”

Of course, Attila was used to insults like this. She was constantly ridiculed by the anthro community, and even human children within the park. Attila, despite her mellow mood right now, could lash out at any time. Of course, she was stealing the right herbs to make her sane at least briefly.

“I’ m just watching, that's all” she said to the vixen. “Do you have anything against that?”. Of course, though used to insults, that was partially because the 13 year old tigress was easily insulted. She’d been called every name in the book, and, because of that, was prone to meltdowns. Of course, none of that would be happening today, since she had eaten her anti-psychotic herbs. But, perhaps, in the future.
